3-6 Swimming Carnival 2026
It’s time to start planning for our 2026 Swimming Carnival, scheduled for Monday, 23 February 2026 at Warringah Aquatic Centre, from 8.30am - 2.00pm. This year, we would like to make the event a whole-school carnival for Years 3–6 students and any Year 2 students who are turning 8 during 2026.
To ensure the day is inclusive and enjoyable for everyone, the program will include two non-competitive 25m events (freestyle and breaststroke). Students may choose to participate in either the 50m competitive events _or_ the 25m non-competitive events, but not both. There will also be an open competitive 100m Freestyle race. Parent transport will be required if your child wishes to enter this event. This event will be starting at 8:30am.
At this stage, we are seeking an indication of how many students intend to participate, as bus transport costs will depend on overall numbers. The estimated cost for all Year 3–6 students to attend (including return bus transport, pool entry, and hire fees) is approximately $40 per student.
We understand that this increase in cost may affect families’ decisions. Therefore, we are considering two possible options:
A whole-school 3-6 carnival where all students attend (swimmers and spectators) - as per a normal school day at a cost of approximately $40 per student; or
A competitors-only event (as in previous years), where parents transport their children to and from the venue, reducing the overall cost. Students who are not competing at the carnival will be required to attend school.
Please note that regardless of the final format, this will be a normal school day for all students.
If your child would like to participate in either the competitive or non-competitive events, please complete the entry form via the link below. Your responses will help us make an informed decision about how to best run the carnival.
Race entries must be made online through School Interviews on the link below.

Entries close on Friday, 14th November, 2025.
Once entries have closed we will confirm if the carnival will be a whole school event or competitors only with parent transport.
