Parent Information:

Year 4 Opportunity Class 2025 - If your child wishes to apply for the placement test:-

Click here for 'intention to apply' form which is to be completed and return to your class teacher by Friday 10th May. This form is NOT a registration form for the test it is just a notification for the teacher.

An information session will be held in Term 2 to answer all your Opportunity Class questions.

3-6 Cross Country - Is in Week 1 Term 2. Permission notes have been emailed home. Permission must be granted before Friday 5th April for your child to walk the course in their allocated PE lesson in Week 11. We kindly ask that parents and spectators position themselves in areas that do not obstruct the course or compromise the safety of our students.

Easter Hat Parade - Students will parade around Waratah Oval. Parents are welcome to stay for a picnic with their child/children after the parade. The canteen is offering Easter picnic treat packs to share for $8.50. The full canteen menu is also available to order.

Parent Teacher Interviews - K-6 Parent Teacher Interviews are now open to book online. They will run from Monday 18-Friday 22 March. If you choose to meet your teacher, interviews will be held in the classroom.

If you have a child in 2 Orange, 5 Lime or 6 Blue, please note that both teachers will be present for the interviews.

5 Blue - Mrs Burlington will be on leave for Parent Teacher Interviews. Further details regarding interviews will be communicated through Mrs Burlington.

6 Silver - As Miss Kelsall is on leave, 6 Silver availabilities will be from Tuesday 19 - Thursday 21 March and Tuesday 26 - Wednesday 27 March.

Meet the Teacher - We kindly invite parents and carers to the 'Meet the Teacher' afternoon on Thursday 15 February. These will be held in your child's classroom. Please refer to the 'welcome back' newsletter for location of the grades.

Year 6 Information:

Year 6 Camp - Year 6 are off to Great Aussie Bush Camp on Week 4 Term 2 (Monday 20 May - Wednesday 22 May). Permission and payment email has been sent home. The deposit of $100 is due by Friday 12th April (end of Term 1) to secure your child's place and the balance of $310 is due by Monday 6th May.

Please note: The deposit can be paid through your statement of account on your school bytes parent portal. Simply select the Great Aussie Bush Camp activity and amend the total to the deposit amount of $100.

Further details will be sent home early next Term.

When you submit your expression of interest online - if your address does not match what we have on the system, it will reject your selections. Please note when you enrol at your high school, they will ask you for 100 points of your residential address.

PPSSA Sport:

PPSSA Winter Trial Schedule - please note permission must be granted online. Please see your email for permission links. Dates are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be communicated via the app.

PPSSA Summer Draw - All school requests were considered regarding byes for events such as carnivals, excursions etc. Any subsequent changes to the draw, if applied, are due to extenuating circumstances coming from the council changing fields. If this is the case, there will be ample notice via Teamapp, as well as MVPS school app to the schools impacted. We appreciate your understanding.
