Parent Information:
3-6 Athletics Carnival
The 3-6 Athletics Carnival will be held on Monday August 5th (Week 3, Term 3) at the Sydney Academy of Sport.
If your child wishes to enter the 800m and/or 1500m parents are responsible to transport them to the track at 8:15am for an 8:30am start. All other students will travel by bus to the carnival.
Parents wishing to take their child home from the venue are asked to take the student, to the table marked 'Class Lists', to have their names marked off their respective class roll. If you wish for your child to be taken home by another parent you will need to send in written permission with your child.
Any Year 2 students who are turning 8 this year may choose to participate in the Junior (8, 9 and 10yr) races and field events. We understand that the Year 2 swim scheme is on the same day. If your child wishes to compete in the athletics carnival, please email the school with your child's name and class for the permission link to be emailed home. The office will contact you regarding further details around logistics for the day.
Permission and payment must be complete before students are allowed to attend.

P&C Education Week Gala Dinner - It is with regret that the P&C have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming Gala Dinner due to lack of community engagement.
To help us gain a better understanding of what type of event would be well received in the future we will send a survey to the class parents to distribute. If you could spend a couple of minutes completing this it would greatly help us achieve our P&C fundraising goals by planning events that everyone will enjoy.

Term 2 Overviews:
P&C Mothers Day Breakfast and Stall - Friday 10th May 7:15am-8:45am. A breakfast to start the day of bacon rolls, fruit salad or a muffin, with tea and coffee will be available on the day. Log in to Flexischools and follow the link through the Mother’s Day Breakfast event banner on the front page to order.
Orders will close at 12 noon, Wednesday 8th May.
In addition, there will also be a Mother’s Day stall on Wednesday 8th May where all children will be able to purchase gifts for $3, $5 or $10. Cash only. Please note a maximum of 2 gifts per child.
Year 4 Opportunity Class 2025 - If your child wishes to apply for the placement test:-

3-6 Cross Country - has been resheduled to Monday 13th May. Updated permission notes have been emailed home. We kindly ask that parents and spectators position themselves in areas that do not obstruct the course or compromise the safety of our students.
Year 6 Information:
Year 6 Final Camp Note - The final camp note has gone home with students today. Please read the information carefully.
Year 6 Camp - This is the camp information note with all camp requirements. A hard copy has gone home to all students. Please complete the attached medical and dietary consent form and return to your class teacher ASAP.
Year 6 Camp - Year 6 are off to Great Aussie Bush Camp on Week 4 Term 2 (Monday 20 May - Wednesday 22 May). Permission and payment email has been sent home. The deposit of $100 is due by Friday 12th April (end of Term 1) to secure your child's place and the balance of $310 is due by Monday 6th May.
Please note: The deposit can be paid through your statement of account on your school bytes parent portal. Simply select the Great Aussie Bush Camp activity and amend the total to the deposit amount of $100.
Further details will be sent home early next Term.
PPSSA Sport:
PPSSA Winter Teams Training Schedule - please note: if it is raining, or the grounds are closed, training will be cancelled. NO FLEXISCHOOLS APP WILL BE SENT OUT.
PPSSA Winter Draw - All school requests were considered regarding byes for events such as carnivals, excursions etc. Any subsequent changes to the draw, if applied, are due to extenuating circumstances coming from the council changing fields. If this is the case, there will be ample notice via Teamapp, as well as MVPS school app to the schools impacted. We appreciate your understanding.

PPSSA Winter Trial Schedule - please note permission must be granted online. Please see your email for permission links. Dates are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be communicated via the app.
PPSSA Sport at MVPS - This year, PPSSA will be played in the afternoons each Friday.
