Extra-Curricular highlights
Sporting events & teams
Students have a wide range of opportunities to participate in competitive sport through interschool competitions and State knockout teams. Our teams proudly represent Mona Vale at zone, regional and state levels across a variety of sports. Our annual swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals also provide students with opportunities to strive for personal bests, demonstrate sportsmanship and progress through representative pathways.
Creative and performing arts
Our wide range of Creative and Performing Arts programs provides students with rich opportunities to build confidence, creativity and a genuine love of the arts. We offer band, dance, choir and drama ensembles that perform at both local and state-wide festivals and eisteddfods, giving students authentic performance experiences while fostering teamwork, discipline and self-expression.
Public speaking & debating
Through our debating and public speaking opportunities, students build confidence, critical thinking and communication skills. Students also have the opportunity to represent the school in local and state competitions, including the Premier’s Debating Challenge and Public speaking events.
Leadership opportunities
Our Year 5 students are offered meaningful opportunities to lead and give back through our Leadership Program and Kids Ambassador Team. Year 5 students support younger peers through lunchtime activities, while ambassadors plan and run fundraising events for local charities. These programs develop initiative, teamwork and a strong sense of social responsibility.
